Promoting the role of patients and the patient voice in all areas of health care.
Resources
Based on the feedback The Patients’ Association of Canada has received from its’ members, we are starting a peer to peer User Guide. This User Guide will include instructions and tips and also the experiences of people who come into contact with the various parts of the system. We are seeding the User Guide with information found in Navigating Canada’s Health Care by Michael Decter and Francesca Grosso (Copyright © Michael Decter and Associates Inc. and The Grosso Group Inc., 2006. Reprinted by permission of the authors and Penguin Group Canada.) Gradually this user guide will become an open-access collaboration, where everybody will be able to contribute new material and edit existing information. A panel of specialized volunteers will review contributions on an ongoing basis, to monitor accuracy and maintain standards. The ongoing process of creation and collaboration will constantly change and enrich the User Guide landscape.
